About Us

In every community, there is work to be done. In every nation, there are wounds to heal. In every heart, there is the power to do it.

—Marianne Williamson

Thriving Communities, LLC, is a real estate development company that integrates community design with healthy building technology—far beyond the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED certification standards and far beyond conventional green building—to generate solid financial returns for impact investors and life-improving social returns for residents.

Our vision for Thriving Communities arises out of the foundational truth that all people, regardless of income or status, deserve healthy, beautiful homes where they feel safe. Green, earth-friendly, energy-efficient housing does not need to be more expensive than conventional housing when approached with smart building technology. Finally, we all live better when we are connected, and the built environment can help facilitate this connection with the way homes are orientated to each other. Our Thriving Communities design principles naturally arise out of this vision.

Thriving Communities builds beautiful homes for real people and real families.

  • OTechnology is used to build smarter and faster, lowering costs so that everyone can afford to live in green and healthy homes.
  • Our homes are all beyond green, energy efficient, and approach “one planet living.”
  • All our homes have front porches, decks, and kitchens that face interior parks and neighbors.
  • People are more important than cars, and we design our villages that way: people inside, and cars and garages outside.
